Promoting DEVELOPMENT OF SPORT IN THE COMMUNITY
HKCC Hockey are actively promoting the sport of hockey through coaching programmes involving local schools, as well supporting NGOs and recognised youth organisations working with disadvantaged youngsters.
HKCC make the facilities of the club available to the wider community along with our expert coaches, inviting young people to get involved in the sport for the first time.
HKCC have also launched an innovative programme to promote the game of indoor hockey by making our facilities available to players from other clubs all over Hong Kong and arranging matches and coaching.
Giving BACK
A big part of the club’s activities is finding ways to contribute to the wider Hong Kong community that is our home. We primarily do that through promoting development of sport and we also run other activities throughout the year that use the skills and contacts of our members and the club’s facilities to give back in other ways.
The past couple of years have been very difficult for many people due to the economic impacts of Covid so members have worked with local NGOs to find ways to support children and families in need, providing medical supplies and masks, food, books and school supplies..
Our Annual HKCC Giving Tree collects presents, maternity supplies for young mothers, and school books and shoes that are distributed to families by partnering with registered charities and NGOs at Christmas time and during Lunar New Year.
