THE HEART OF HONG KONG HOCKEY

HKCC Hockey was founded in 2006. After a modest start with one men’s and one’ ladies, we currently run 6 senior league teams, with about 180 registered adult players across Women’s and Men’s and more than 200 players aged from 4 to 18 years old in our youths and junior sections.

For the more “experienced” player, we also run Masters/Veterans teams as well as social & mixed hockey throughout the year.

New members are always welcome – email us at play@hkcchockey.net to find out more!

SOCIAL & FAMILY-ORIENTED

We’re a friendly, fun, family-oriented club. You’ll find a great mix of ages & backgrounds – playing together, socialising together at events & on tour, or simply hanging out at the HKCC swimming pool or at one of the many bars & restaurants at the main HKCC clubhouse.

You’ll also find us “giving back”. That’s really important to us so we work with charities across Hong Kong to introduce kids from all different backgrounds to sport and hockey through coaching and tournaments held at the club. We also run the annual Christmas Giving Tree and have run Food Drives to try and alleviate some of the pressures that families throughout HK have faced during the particularly difficult economic times over the past few years.

WHEN DO WE PLAY?

  • The Hockey Association winter adult leagues generally run from September to May.
  • We run social and mixed hockey events pretty much all year-round.
  • Our Junior and Youth programmes run across three terms from Sept to June, in line with typical school term times

A typical week

  • League matches are on weekends (Saturdays for women and Sundays for men).
  • Training is on Thursday nights at Happy Valley, at 6.30pm.
  • On Tuesday nights, we run casual 6-a-side hockey (usually followed by beer and curry) at the Indian Recreation Club

If you want to give hockey a try or are looking to get back into it, email us at play@hkcchockey.net!

For the younger players,

  • Junior and Youth programmes run midweek after school and on Saturday mornings.
